The city-state of Lagos witnessed an explosion of flavour, culture and celebration on November 30 at the Golden Penny Semovita Soup Festival grand finale.

The festival, an everything the people hoped for and more, was held at the iconic TBS Cricket Ground, and it was nothing short of spectacular as food lovers, culture enthusiasts, and music fans gathered at the end of the year with a bang.

It was a day packed with excitement as the festival kicked off with The Real Warri Pikin and Password, who were the hosts of the festival. The duo brought their unmatched energy and humor to the stage, keeping the crowd hyped from start to finish.

Their chemistry and hilarious banter made every moment unforgettable, coupled with the culinary magic from the tantalizing aroma of free soups to the jaw-dropping cooking competition, the event celebrated the very essence of Nigerian culinary excellence.

Attendees paired up to showcase their skills, with one lucky duo walking away with amazing prizes. The master classes by some of Nigeria’s finest chefs had attendees glued to their seats as they learnt the secrets to perfect Nigerian soups, master-plating techniques and eco-friendly cooking.

The music performances was electrifying as Adekunle Gold closed the show in style with his soulful tunes and high-energy hits that had the crowd singing and dancing all night long.

Segun Johnson brought his signature live-band energy, making everyone hit the dance floor. And of course, Snoopy D Vibe and DJ Jamsmyth kept the energy alive, blending cultural beats with modern tunes that had everyone in party mode.

Traditional dancers insheer celebration of culture wowed the audience with stunning performances, reminding everyone of the beauty and richness of the Nigerian heritage.

Special guests at the event were BBN stars Onyeka and Shaun, who added star power to the day, mingling with fans and joining in the fun. Their charm and presence made the day even brighter.

With unforgettable giveaways, attendees did not just leave with just full stomachs they also walked away with incredible prizes, including gadgets, kitchen appliances, and a year’s supply of Golden Penny Semovita.

It was indeed a day to remember as the Golden Penny Semovita Soup Festival grand finale was not just an event, it was a celebration of food, culture, and community. From the laughter and the music to the delectable soups and the friendly competition, this festival was truly the highlight of the year.
