At least six passengers have been confirmed dead, while four others were rescued, following a boat mishap along the Nigerdock axis of the Igbologun water channel in Lagos State. Seven people have been confirmed to have sustained varying degrees of burns in a fire that broke out at the 22-storey Great Nigeria Insurance House on Martins Street, Lagos Island, and have been hospitalised. Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested a wanted female drug kingpin, Shodunke Yetunde Simbiat, following the recovery of 23.5 kilograms of cocaine concealed in her children’s room at her residence in Lagos.
