The All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended former President Muhammadu Buhari for reaffirming his commitment to the ruling party, describing his stance as a demonstration of integrity and party loyalty.

In a statement by the APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party applauded the former President for swiftly disassociating himself from individuals attempting to link him with “nonplussed political choices.”

The statement read in part, “The All Progressives Congress greets and commends former President Muhammadu Buhari for his solid reaffirmation of loyalty to our great party. In a statement of Thursday, March 13, 2025, the former President stated, ‘I am an APC member, and I like to be addressed as such. I will try to popularise the party by all means.’

“We applaud the former President for swiftly clearing the air and putting distance to efforts by certain individuals to tacitly associate him with their nonplussed political choices.”

The statement urged party members to emulate Buhari’s example by demonstrating unwavering dedication to the APC.

Buhari has reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the APC, stating that he remains a committed member and will do everything within his power to strengthen the party.

This is amidst growing political realignments ahead of the 2027 elections.

The former President made it clear that he would never abandon the party that gave him the platform to lead Nigeria for two terms.
