One person has died and four others injured as a two-storey building under construction collapsed at the Northern Vulture Estate on Chevron Drive, Ajah, Lagos State. The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) confirmed that one adult male lost his life in the building collapse, while four others sustained serious injuries. The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has disclosed that 5,421 people were killed in road traffic crashes across Nigeria in 2024. This is a seven per cent increase from the 5,081 fatalities recorded in 2023.
