Nollywood stars recently converged on Victoria Island, Lagos, for the private screening of the highly anticipated Africa Magic limited series, ‘My Fairytale Wedding’.
The movie, with its romantic comedy narrative, features Ramsey Nouah and Ini Edo, who also served as an executive producer on the project.
Hosted at The Hall, Victoria Island, Lagos, the exclusive event was witnessed by the crème de la crème of the Nollywood industry.
Directed by Dimeji Ajibola, ‘My Fairytale Wedding’ follows the journey of a young woman who, with the aid of magic (Kayanmata), captures the heart of Lagos’ most eligible bachelor.
The show poses the question: Does this enchantment lead to true love?
The talented ensemble cast includes major names like Kanayo O. Kanayo, Shaffy Bello, Ayo Mogaji, Tina Mba, and Lilian Esoro, enhancing the narrative’s allure.
Attendees were treated to the first episode of the series, which was produced by ChiChi Nworah.
Speaking at the premiere, Nworah stated that she wanted to create something relatable about love.
On her part, Ini Edo, who played one of the major characters in the series, remarked that the storyline will resonate with many young women of marriageable age.
The Executive Head of Content Channels, West Africa, at MultiChoice, Busola Tejumola, who was also present at the event, stated that the film aligns with Africa Magic’s mission to continuously tell relatable stories.
“It has been a year of weddings and I’m particularly excited to announce the next big union to look forward to. My Fairytale Wedding offers a glimpse into a tale of love with a sprinkle of magic, but not in the way you expect. With an amazing cast, this is a show you cannot afford to miss,” she said.
Other actors present at the premiere included Ayo Mogaji, Bisola Aiyeola, Lilian Esoro, Caroline Hutchings and Uzo Arukwe, among others.
