Fire guts FIIRO office in Lagos

A fire incident was reported at the Federal Institute of Industrial Research Office, FIIRO, Oshodi, near Cappa Bus Stop, Lagos State.

Men of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, in collaboration with the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, LASEMA, are currently on the ground to contain the incident.

A fire incident was reported at the Federal Institute of Industrial Research Office, FIIRO, Oshodi, near Cappa Bus Stop, Lagos State.

When asked about the cause of the fire, a LASEMA official said “Investigations are still ongoing to determine what triggered this unfortunate incident.”

No casualties have been reported so far, but the fire has extensively destroyed property worth millions of naira, and rescue operations are still ongoing.

The cause of the fire remains unknown at the time of filing this report.
