Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Alagbon Force Headquarters, Lagos, Margaret Ochalla, has emerged the Rainbow Woman of the Year 2025.

The company is the publisher of Rainbow Events Magazine and the official organizer of annual Rainbow Hall of Fame Award. The year’s edition is the season 11.

Noted that AIG Ochalla was chosen among other great women following a keen selection process owing to her impeccable character, humility and gender inclusivity strides even as she meteorically rose in the force.

The award event also recognized Dr. Adekunle Omoyele, Commandant of Osun State Amotekun Corps as Rainbow Man of the Year

Other people honoured at the prestigious award were, Nigerian US-based, Chief Churchill Etuk, Founder/CEO. Churchill Etuk Foundation, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa, Chairman Ewekoro LG, Leke Oluwatosin,  Quadri Olowolagba, Publisher of The Squad Magazine was honoured as the Media Man of the Year, Community Friendly Police Office of the Year went to ACP Oladele Bamidele Olusola, and Dynamic Humanitarian Person  of Year was grabbed by Olori Yemisi Jayeola.

Speaking while launching the RDF, Barrister Robert, a Lagos based legal practitioner and Benin High Chief, said late Mrs. Deborah Omogbenigun “would make the rice dishes, then the children would be there hoping to eat something, but would say, no, hold on.

“Let me serve the orders first. I’m sure at other time she knew that there are some other children that needs the food more than the children at home. You see the logic. So then I’m sure the children will say, ah, these are a master. So, not knowing that part of what she was doing then is what you are reaping today, and it’s also leading us.”

Other awardees at the event include Alhaji Buhari Mustapha, Seriki Alimosho as Outstanding Royal Father of the year, Angel Global Entertainment.

Besides winning the Rainbow Woman of the Year, AIG Margaret Ochalla also went home with other awards.
